Unable to open 2002 files in 2003

Has anyone ever had problems opening pages that were developed in FP 2002 in
FP 2003, particularly ones that contain several images?

Sorry I should be more specific. When I attempt to open the pages in FP 2003
the program stops responding completely and I'm unable to do anything until
forcefully closing the app.

Sorry I'm really not too familiar with FP. All I can really say is that when
I open FP I go to File > Open Site and type in the URL and login with my
credentials. Inside the site there are several pages developed by someone
other than myself who has used FP 2002 to create their pages, and when I try
to "double-click" or open any of the larger pages (~150-200KB) that has
multiple images(all images are small JPEG files) the app simply stops
responding. It will however eventually respond in 5-10 minutes and let me
view the page. But when I attempt to do ANYTHING (scroll the page, click on
an object, anything..) the app just freezes again for a few minutes until it
can process the task of clicking on an object or whatever it may be. I
obviously have no problems opening these or any pages in FP 2002 (including
the ones developed in 2003) and have no problems opening previously developed
2003 pages. I do though have problems trying to recreate these FP2002 pages
into FP2003 by just copying the data inside the FP2002 pages and pasting it
into a new FP2003 page. When I do this the app does the same thing as if I
was trying to open a 2002 page.

I realize this is all very unspecific in identifying a problem, but it's
where I'm at with it.

Sorry but I also don't see any of the tools in the FPCleaner being useful
considering I'm running FP off of a fresh install.

Are you opening the website "live" or the local website.

You didn't see FPCleaner being useful...but did you install it and try it?

I'm opening the website "live".

I gave FPCleaner a try but the results are still the same. If I open a 2002
page in 2003 then the program just freezes. Any other suggestions?

Does this happen when you open your local copy too?

Yes you should, then Publish to the server...much safer.

....also, the OP needs to do a FULL publish the first time to get the webs in
synch because of the change to 2003. Then, after that, he can do changed
pages only.
