I've never upgraded to Win2K, but in an installation, you are
asked for a password for the Administrator account. Isn't it
the same in an upgrade?

.
I have the same problem with a Windows 2000 server. I
suspect something is corrupted, but I have no idea what.
In my case, the problem manifested after a bad flash of 2
Emulex HBAs.

I'm going to rebuild on Tuesday, but it would be nice to
know the source of the problem.

Help would be appreciated.
