Unable to login to E2K from OL98

Config:
Exchange 2000 running on Windows 2000 server.
Outlook98 running on Windows 98 SE.
Outlook2000 running on Windows 2000 Pro.

Recently on one of the Win98 machines, the following
occurred:

Logon to Network with no problem. Start Outlook 98.
Prompted with "Enter Password" dialog box. Dialog box has
fields for User Name, Domain Name and Password. None of
the fields are filled in. The User enters the correct User
Name, Domain Name and Password. A new dialog box pops up.
This one titled "Microsoft Exchange Server", with
text "The logon credentials supplied were incorrect. Make
sure your username and domain are correct, then type your
password again." User enters the correct info again. Same
result, "logon credentials ... incorrect...". User is able
to close Outlook by clicking on "Cancel" many, many times.

Things we've done and checked:
1) User account is not locked out.
2) Checked Outlook98 profile. Re entered exchange server
and user name in Exchange settings. Able to "check name"
successfully.
3) User is able to logon to another Win98se machine. Then
start Outlook98 successfully.
4) Checked RPC_Binding_Order (KB167935).
5) A different user is able to logon to the problem
Win98SE machine. Configure Outlook98 with a different
profile. Then start Outlook98 successfully.

Any/all suggestions welcome.

Try a new Outlook profile for the affected user... this should work OK.
Sounds like the old one is bad.
