Unable to log on windows XP due to longer password than allowed in log on box

Changed my Windows XP user log-on password to a new one
being 14 characters long. When I when back to log-on to
Windows realized that the user password log-on entry text
box only allowed 11 characters to be written, therefore
can not log on to Windows!!!

Windows XP allows more than 14 characters, easily.
Are you sure you are typing the password correctly? Capitalization, etc?

try starting your computer in safe mode and log on as
administrator and change the password that way.
Hope this helps.
