Unable to locate component message

Since receiving the screen message
"Ntfs -The file system structure on the disk is corrupt and unusable. Please
run the chkdsk utility on the volume C:".
Having done this, I now receive the messages:-
"NDSTray.ext and CFSServe.exe - unable to locate components – this is
because RASDLG.dll was not found"
Where do I go from here to fix this problem? Help needed for an end user
who doesn't understand this sort of stuff!!

Hi,

A corrupt file system is difficult, if not impossible, to recover from. If
you have irreplaceable data (which you should have already backed up) then
take it to a specialist. Otherwise, this is an instance where starting clean
is the best thing you can do. When doing so, remove the existing system
partition and create a new one with the free space as part of setup - do not
attempt to use the current one over, formatting is often not sufficient.

Good point, Rick. Have seen this "gotcha" a few times firsthand.
