unable to load xp

i cannot load windows xp home. i also cannot restore or repair. when booting up i get a blue screen with the following registry_error and the a memory dump and a stop. the error i receive are the following: 0x00000051 (0x00000004 0xe15625f0 0x007a9438) i tried doing what microsoft suggest by coping the files to a tmp dir and replacing them with the backups, but there are no backups to replace. there is no snapshot files either. i tried to do a complet repair off the cd, but after it copies the files all i get is the same bluescreen and errors. does anyone know what else i can try?? i do not want to lose all my families settings and docs.

Trying stripping down the Computer to just the bare essentials. Try
swapping your drive ribbon cable and IDE Channel.
ie: Primary to Secondary.
