unable to load user profile

My user profile will not load on startup. There is a
message saying that my profile may be corrupted. The
default admin profile is loaded instead and windows
installer is automatically loaded. I am still able to go
into C drive and access any of my files, but how do I
retrieve my old user profile?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
