unable to load graphics conversion filter

Can anyone tell me how to troubleshoot this problem,when I try to open some
down loaded zip files, I get the message " unable to load graphics
convertion filter"
Then the next message is "an unexpected error occurred while reading
c:\documn\------------.
I've tried finding something in troubleshooting but no luck.
Any help appreciated.

There should be no graphics conversion filter needed for ZIP files.
Perhaps the wrong program has been associated with that file extension.
Click START|RUN and type this, and see if that helps...

regsvr32 zipfldr.dll <enter>

This should enable XP's built-in unzip function.
