unable to install office home and student 2007

Trying to install Home and Student 2007 - I get an error message saying that
set up cannot complete as a file required is ither corrupt or not available.
 
Have you asked the experts in an Office newsgroup?

Does the error message give the name of the file ?
 
Try copying the entire CD onto your computer & run from that

I am sure so files won't copy as you have evither a dirty or scratched CD

Do you have a valid academic licence & do you actually qualify for that
licence?
 
Did you uninstall the Trial version of Office and the Activation Assistant prior to
starting your install ???
