Unable to install kernel-mode print driver

At the end of installing some software, I receive the following error:
"Windows can't install the {application name} Printer Driver kernel-mode
print driver. To obtain a driver that is compatible with the version of
Windows you are running, contact the manufacturer." Does anyone know of a
work-a-round for this. The 2 programs that I'm currently trying to install
are "Smith Micro's Hot Fax Message Center" and "Nuance's (Scansoft) OmniForm
5.0"

You cannot rely work around the need to an incompatible driver you need to
go back to the software manufacture to see if they have produced a Vista
version.

Thanks for the reply, I apologize for not being more thorough in my previous
post. I have checked with the manufacturers and neither could provide any
information at present as to whether there would be Vista compatible
updates. I know that sometimes industrious "computerites" (sorry) will come
up with ways to get things to work. Just hoping.
