Unable to import .pst file

I'm trying to import a personal folder file (.pst) in
Outlook 2000 from a backup CD. When I select the .pst
file to import, I get the following error message:
"Properties for this information service must be defined
prior to use. File access is denied. You do not have the
permissions required to access the file." Can you please
help me figure out a way to import my .pst
file???

If this is a PST file, why are you trying to import it?
Just open it in Outlook to do what you want. Make certain that you've moved
the file off the CD onto a hard drive and removed the read only attribute it
acquired from being on a CD.

Copy the .pst to your hard drive first, and ensure that
access to it is r/w. You cannot import it directly from
a CD, because read/write access is required.
