unable to download sp2

I have tried to download sp2 and I get an error that says
automatic update is not set up I went to services.msc and
tried to start the automatic updates and it will not let
me I get an error

Error 1058:The services can not be started, either because
it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices
associated with it.

Help please

The easiest way to turn on Automatic Updates correctly is to go to Windows
Update and follow the link on the right hand side of your screen which does
this.
