Unable to design reports in an ADP

I'm maintaining an Access app that is an ADP. There are a number of reports.
When I select one and click DESIGN, nothing happens. When I select NEW, I get
no design window. Does anyone know what is happening. I do know I probably
don't have read access to the SQL DB where the data is stored, is that the
reason, design view wont work?
My current problem is that for some users they are getting 'report wont
open' errors and I need to look at the reports to see what they are doing.
Thanks.

This issue is almost always a problem with the default printer specified in
the Windows Control Panel. Do you have one selected? Have you tried to change
it?

Thanks, that seems to have been the answer. I did have a default printer
selected and I was able to change the default to another printer and then
back to the original printer. There was also a printer listed (not tyhe
default) that no longer existed and I deleted it. After I did those things, I
was able to enter design view on the reports.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware the absense of a non-default printer
would have any affect on report design or display.
