Unable to deleting MP3 file

I have a 512MB portable player which I have been using. I recently
trabsferred a MP3 file which I now cannot delet from the Portbale Player. The
file seems to be corrupt but each time I delet the file, the deleted item
does not go into the Recycle Bin and reappears back on the Portable Player. I
get the following error messages when I try to delete the folder the MP3 file
is in
- Cannot copy file. The file or directory is corrupt or unreadable
Can ANYONE help me with this? The player will now not play any music

Some bare details like the make & model of your player might help others
to help you.

it is tough to help you without knowing what software you're using, however,
this sounds like a synchronization problem. In other words, the MP3 is stored
on both your player and your computer, and you're only deleting one copy of
it. The next time you synch, the deleted copy is automatically restored from
the remaining copy.

Typically you only need to delete the MP3 from your computer--that's the way
it works in Windows Media Player. When you synch, it should also be removed
from the portable player. If you want a quick solution, just delete it from
both your computer's media library and the portable player, and then synch it
up.

A better solution would require understanding and possibly reconfiguring the
synchronization rules of your software.

Good luck.
