Unable To Delete Printer

Running Windows XP Pro - SP2 - all updates

I tried deleing a LOCAL printer - USB interface - and it has been sitting in
'deleting' state for days - need to get rid of it - reinstall drivers and
get the darn printer working

Any help?????
 
Hi,

It could be that a print job is still waiting to print.

Go to Start > Run and type services.msc

Find the entry for print spooler and stop it (right mouse click) then try to
delete the printer.

DOnt forget to start the print spooler service before you reinstall
