Unable to delete personal folders

Richard

I'm using Outlook 2003.

I have two extra folders in my Folder List that I am
unable to delete. The following message appears when I
click on the "+" icon to the left of the folders:

"Unable to expand the folder. The set of folders could
not be opened."

Any help in resolving this matter will be appreciated.

HI Richard,

Right click on the personal folder and click on close personal folder.
This option would be grayed out if that personal folder is the default
personal folder

If this does not work check out file menu if you have outlook 2002 and
outlook 2003
File>data file management>choose the pst file and click on remove.

And if Suresh's ideas don't work, you probably have a corrupt mail profile
and need to create a new one with COntrol Panel's Mail applet.

Thanks, Brian.

I thought that's what I was going to have to do, but it's
always nice to have confirmation from someone who knows
that app better than I do. After backing up the data
files, I deleted the Profile, cleaned up the many *.pst
files, and then re-created a profile.

Now, if I can only remeber the password for one of my e-
mail accounts, all will be well...
