Unable to delete my imported folders

I imported my emails from OLE6 into Windows Mail. By default, all the
emails go into a folder that Windows Email calls Imported Folder (1)... I
moved the emails to where I wanted them and am unable to delete my 6
Imported Folders. Does anyone have an idea how to get rid of them? I
should point out that I found the root area where the folders are kept and
deleted them from there but they remain as Imported Folders in my Windows
Email and show up again where I deleted them from.

Try compacting and repairing the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/) and see
if you can delete them then.

This did not solve my problem. I have no idea how to fix this problem and
have not come across it online. I see tons of people unable to delete
messages but no one that I came across unable to delete their imported
folders. I am open to any and all suggestions please.

I think I have just solved the problem. I renamed the Imported Folder, then
found that I could delete it in the usual way.
