unable to delete email in inbox

what is the fix? This just happend with new laptop using Vista basic.
All I get is an unknown error has occurred.

THANK YOU!! i have been hunting for days for something that would fix my
inbox! The fix says that it's for messages stuck in your outbox, but i had
several that wouldn't delete from the inbox and it has worked great. Thank
you so much!!

source, one I email regularly. Really fed up not being able to delete. Any

Try reading other people's answers to problems with deleting email
(even in other folders). Someone gets an answer a few times a day.

The solution to this problem is posted here a few dozen times each day.
Did you read the responses to posts similar to yours?
Microsoft's fix is available here:

Although Outbox is the only folder mentioned, it will remove stuck
messages from all folders.

I think the poster does not have a stuck E-mail and may just be explaining
it badly.
I have a message delete problem too but it is not a stuck E-mail.
I'll try and explain my problem, and the poster can confirm if their problem
is the same.

My ISP is BT Yahoo who provide a filter system that shuffles junk-mail into
a bulk folder.
However, if I, "check all", messages and click, "Delete", no deleting takes
place.
If I uncheck ANY one message and then click, "Delete", it undeletes the
selected messages but I have to actually open the remaining message to be
able to delete it.
Summing up - delete works fine but will not delete all posts at once and
will not delete a single post unless it is opened first.
