Hi,
I'm unable to create a PPPoE connection using Windows so I can use my DSL
modem. My ISP has no software to do this as Windows XP is capable of
creating the PPPoE connection. However, in the New Connection wizard, the
only option I have to describe my connection is "a broadband connection that
is always on." According to my ISP, I must select "a broadband connection
that requires a username and password" for authentication reasons but it is
greyed out. I found a KB article that sounds like it references the issue
(Q320558) and I haven't tried it yet today but I need to have this issue
resolved quickly and I was wondering if anyone else knew of this issue and,
if so, how did you resolve it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
