Unable to Copy Files

When I try to copy files from my laptop to my home
computer (Both are running XP Pro) I get the
message "Cannot Read From the Source File or Disk".

I have searched the Knowledge Base and only get 1 article
pertaining to this message, and it references Windows
2000.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are they networked together..... can both see each other with no difficulty?

Thanks for your response. No, they aren't networked
together. I'm just trying to move some files from one
computer to the other using a floppy.
