"Unable to connect to wireless network" message

I have 5 PC's connected through a Lynksys BEFW1154 V2 wireless router. Each
PC has its own USB Linksys WUSB1.1 V2.6 wireless adapter, so each connects
to the internet separately. On bootup with 2 of my PC's, one with Windows
Pro SP2, the other with Windows Home SP2 I frequently get the unable to
connect message. I do a repair, and both connect when the IP address is
refreshed. Both PC's IP address are set up manually, because when windows
automatically sets up an IP address there are frequently conflicts with with
other PC's IP address. Any ideas would be appreciated. I posted this message
in " microsoft public windowsxp networking wireless " and did not receive
any response, so I am asking here.

If you're going to assign static ip addresses to some of your computers on
your LAN, you should make sure to assign them outside of the scope of ip
addresses your router is going to assign to those computers using dynamic
ip addresses. This can usually be done within the settings of your router.
I'm not familiar with that particular Linksys router, but if you login to
it, you should find a place where you can assign a range of ip addresses
the router will assign.

No they are not. The no problem PC's have Windows ME, Windows XP SP2, and
Windows XP SP2 Laptop.
