Unable to connect to broadband after removing msblast.

Have removed msblast and other viruses from computer.
Now I cannot connect to the internet. When I enable the
LAN connection, the IP address is 0.0.0.0 Have checked
all troubleshooting that I know of including:
-running repair installation
-uninstall/reinstall of network card driver
-reseting cable modem
-trying (unsucessfully) to delete current Network
connection config

I really don't want to format the whole hard drive if
possible. HELP.

What do you get when you type "ipconfig /renew" at a command prompt?
