Unable to configure a comport for hyperterminal

I'm unable to configure my comports.
Normally the button "configure" in the property screen of hyperterminal
yields a comport settings dialog, in which baudrate, stopbits ... can be set.

I used to have this functionality, but it disappeared after removing some (
I don't no which) components for my target image.

Does anybody know which component has to be added in order for this dialog
to reappear??

Hi,

I had some problems configuring my COM ports in Hyperterminal.
The configure button did not work. Well it started working when I
added the WAN Miniport components to my image. Also the question
do you want to install a modem when starting Hyperterminal disappeared.

As a side effect I now get to extra entries, "H323 Line" and "IPCONF LINE",
in the hyperterminal properties tab in the "Connect Using" combo.

I haven't been able to find much about the WAN miniport, there are several
PPPOP, IP, L2TP and some more, and would like to know more.

What do all the WAN miniports do and how do they control whether the configure
button works or not.

Hope someone responds.
