IE sp2 will not save my new home page. I change it in tools, click apply.
But when I return it defaults to the previous home page.

Had the same problem. You need to uninstall any programs such as Ad-Aware or
Edwido Guard change your home page and re-install the uninstalled programs.
This solved my problem.

Check any antispyware programs that may be running on your
system. Many have settings to prevent your home page from being
changed. For example, Spybot S & D when running in Advanced
Mode allows you to lock down the home page. This setting can be
found in the Tools section under IE tweaks.

Good luck

When you write "uninstall," do you mean just the executable [usually
.....exe] or all of the files if there is more than one?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Spybot is not enough, also run Ad-aware and consider purchasing a reputable
scanner, such as Spysweeper.

I also ran Ad-aware. It found a ton of stuff but it still did not rectify
the problem.

The start page box was not check in Spybot. Any other ideas would be
appreciated.

I uninstalled using add/remove programs in control panel.
