unable to boot into win2k after virus cleanup

I have 2 partitions NT and win2k on my PC.
Recently, my win2k got infected with lovgate.X worm - I removed it by
booting into NT and running anti-virus on win2k partition. I may also
have inadvertently deleted some system files while following a virus
removal writeup from Symantec.

Now, when I try to boot into win2k (normal mode/safe mode), it
proceeds till the point of loading mup.sys and then automatically
restarts my PC. So I'm in an infinite boot loop with win2k. Booting
into NT works fine.

Any idea what files I should try restoring etc to get into win2k?
thanks

Try going into safe mode using the step by step method
and see if you can see what files are missing or giving
you trouble. Then from there you can use the command
prompt to load those files into the correct file.
Or the faster way is to reload your OS. It may take some
time to get all the file that are missing or corrupt.
