Unable to add domain users to a local group

We have 4 win2000 SP4 servers one is the active directory
server, two are running citrix and one is running
accounting apps. They are all members of the same domain.
On the acct apps server I created a local group and want
to add users from the active directory server. When I open
the group on the acct apps server and hit ADD I can only
see the acct app server in the Look In box. Should I be
able to have the choice of also selecting the Domain?

Yes, certainly. There is a problem with the server contacting a
DC.

This is almost always an DNS problem (it might be authentication
but that is likely DNS underneath.)

Run DCDiag.exe on your DCs and capture to a >file.txt and then
search for FAIL, WARN, ERROR. Do the same with NetDIAG
on the "server" or "clients".

You are logging onto a DOMAIN account before trying this, right?

Additionally, you can try:

1. Open a CMD.exe prompt.
2. net localgroup "Group Name" "DomainName\UserName" /add
