Un-share a folder

I created a shared folder with sub-folders. I don't need
it anymore and would like to move the copntents back to
various folders. I have uncheck ed read only but when I
try to move the particular file to another folder I get
an access denied message.

Unchecked read only where? In the Sharing page or in the file/folder
attributes? Remove or alter the share. Restart Windows to apply the change.
Then move the files.
