UMax Scanners?

I'm looking for a 11" x 17" flatbed scanner and have come up with
Epson GT-1500, $1,500, 600DPI
Epson Expression 10000XL, $2,700 2400 DPI
UMax PowerLook 2100XL, $1,200, 800DPI

I have an Epson 3200 and am very happy with it and the
Epson Scan software works well for what I want to do.

How are UMax scanners? Quality, software, etc.

I've never seen one win any comparison tests in magazines. It's always
Canon, Epson or HP.

I've never been too happy with their support.
