Installed Office Ultimate 2007 and it says that outlook is not available.
what's up with that? All my outlook has disappeared

Did you have a previous version installed? If so, you need to uninstall it
first, then reinstall office 2007 - the option to add/remove features should
work.

It is not on my add/remove list. I think that my old version was not put on
legally - which is why I bought the new one. Would that help determine what
to do?

so the older version of office is not on add/remove programs? what happens
if you run office 2007 setup and choose the option to view or change
features? is outlook shown as installed?

no and the new outlook 2007 with business contact manager "is not available".
When I expand it, all of the boxes below it along with it have a red "x" over
them. Somewhere in clicking around it said it could not install unless
outlook 2007 was installed. Am I to "buy" outlook 2007?? It appears as though
it comes in all the office suites. I am confused. I thought THIS was outlook
2007 and along with it I get the business contact manager. thanks for any
help.

If you have Outlook Professional, Small Business, or Ultimate, the version
of Outlook that comes with it is "Outlook 2007 with Business Contact
Manager". You can install Outlook either with or without BCM. The usual
method is to click the X next to the application and change the "Not
Avaiable" to "Run from My Computer".
