Hi,

I have formatted hard disk partition in UDF format using Linux tool.
But in windows it is not recognizable.

Is there any reason for this? and how to make it recognizable?

Thanks

Hi

I am not aware of 'Partition type 07'.

I am using mkudf utility in Linux and Windows partition is NTFS. [I
have installed windows 2000].

If you need a partition for access by both Windows and Linux, format the
partition Fat32. Some Linux distros are now recognizing NTFS, but not
all. Windows will never recognize any Linux-based partition format (just
a wild guess!)

Well, if you do not know what a partition type is, maybe you not call
yourself "guru". Have a look at the fdisk docu. It gives you the basics,
I believe.

hi

My question is, I want to access UDF partition created under linux in
windows. Currently i am not able to access it.

I wanted the reason, so that I could try in some other way.

I wanted the reason. If we see one tool Jet storage UDF 1.5.8, it will
give console formatter, where we can format Hard disk in UDF format.
but it is not working.
