Hi

As sole user of my Win Vista Home Basic system, I have turned off UAC. How
can I prevent system messages telling me I have turned off UAC every time I
boot up.

Also, although I am administrator, I have been unable to delete a folder
left after the uninstallation of a program. I am told I need permission,
from whom???

Do not work in elevated level; Day-to-day work should be performed while
the User Account Control (UAC) is enabled. Turning off UAC reduces the
security of your computer and may expose you to increased risk from
malicious software.
