Typing in Word

I recieved a Word document that I need to fill in some fields. The document
was scanned and emailed to me. I cannot type in any of the fields. Can this
be enabled and how?
 
What you have received is a graphic. It may be that the document is
*intended* to be hand written, as would be the case with some job
applications, but of not place it as an image and set it 'behind text' then
using a table or tables you can fill in the fields - albeit with a little
juggling :)
