I have created a document in word 2003 from the forms tool bar i have
inserted a text field. When testing the cursor defaults to the shaded text
field and I began typing it auto fits to the page or the table as I like the
only problem is when i'm typing it starts out on that line and then moves the
the typed are one line below:
example
Name: xxxxxxxxx this is what I want
Name:
xxxxxxxxxxx this is what it does I don't want this any help thanks sometimes
it will even take the semicolon with it

Word will move the name you type to the next line if the following conditions
apply:

A. You type a long name without spaces and Word cannot hyphenate the word -
maybe because you do not have hyphenation turned on (Tools > Language >
Hyphenation) .

B. There is not room for the entire name in the first line.

Is it the colon (and not semicolon) that also moves to the next line? If
yes, check whether you have a space in front of the colon and are missing a
space after the colon. In that case, Word will regard the colon as being part
of the first word you type in the text field.

Thank you so much I found the problem after your reply I was actually holding
down a random key to test without allowing a break or space between the keys
your solution worked thanks again
