Typing in MS Word 2007 speeds up the hard drive. Why?

When I type in MS Word 2007 the hard drive speeds up. This does not happen
with email typing or, indeed, while typing this message. I have checked my
anti-virus and anti-spyware programmes with no effect. What else can I try?
 
Hi Robian,

This probably reflects nothing more than Word updating the temporary files it uses (eg to manage auto-recovery in the event of a
crash).
