Typing in an email using OUTLOOK

[The typing mavin needs some help]

All of a sudden I will be typing a word and the computer will beep and my
keyboard will not enter the letters that I have typed. I click the cursur and
pick up where I left off. - HELP

Even if you aren't using a Lenovo Thinkpad, you might be having this problem.

Any windows for other applications open at the time? Maybe one of them
is beeping and taking focus away from Outlook (which means the
characters you type are being sent to the window for the other
application even if it doesn't accept them).

If you don't see other application windows open, reboot into Windows
safe mode (with networking) to see if it continues. If not, one of
those startup programs is stealing focus, perhaps by opening a hidden
window.
