When I start to type in the address bar of Internet
explorer, I only get a few characters to display when the
program than tries to read (I assume a directory) from my
CD-Rom drive. It takes a few seconds for the CD-Rom to
get up to speed and during that time all the characters I
am typing in the address box are buffered and not
displayed until the CD-Rom access is complete. This
includes hitting the enter key, so I have to wait for IE
to finish checking my CD-Rom before it will go to the web
site I typed in. Why does it do this? Can it be
stopped. I do have the auto-complete feature turned on.
Thanks for any help,
Bob
