type in address bar returns search

Whenever I type an address into the address bar it
returns a search page. I am not able to get to any sites
by the address bar.

Hi,

You may want to consider turning off the address bar
searching feature.

To do this, try the following:

Open Internet Explorer.

Click on Tools, then Internet Options.

Click on the Advanced Tab, then scroll down to the Searching
header.

Click the following radio button:

'Do not search from the Address bar'.

Click on OK to save and exit the Internet Options settings
box.
