type ahead/fill in.

We have migrated from Ex 5.5 to EX2K3 and our clients are all MS Outlook
(XP/2000/2003). Severl folks have reported that the type ahead/fill in for
addressed names is no longer working. I thought it could be resolved by
upgrading to Office 2003, but that is not the case...

Where can I start troubleshooting... IF the user completes the name and does
a force "check name" (CTRL-K) the client WILL verify the name.

Try this:
Click on Tools >Options>(preferences tab) Email Options>Advanced Email Options
Towards the bottom you will see "Suggest names while completing To, Cc and
Bcc fields."
If that's not what it is, then I have no idea what the problem may be.

Are you certain that these users have sent enough messages to have populated
their autocompletion cache? Autocompletion does not use Contact data.
