two xp installs on same rig

recently made big mistake and re-installed xp on my rig...
accidentally installed onto d drive. now had two installs
on same computer. i was able to correct problem but now
everytime i start my machine a black screen comes up askimg
me to pick which os i wan to run.. both choices are windows
xp home edition... how do i get rid of this prompt on start up?

First this is wrong news group for you since this one is for Windows XP
Embedded.
For future reference you should go to windowsxp.general

In your case open hidden file C:\boot.ini

and set timeout to 0
also set appropriate path as default.
