two WinXP's installed, how to remove one of them?

I installed two winxp's in different directories and then deleted the
directory of the one I didn't want. Now I when I boot up I still have
to pick which OS I want even though only one really exists. How do I
take out the other OS from my registry so that when I boot up I don't
have to select one or wait 30 seconds? Thanks

You need to edit the Boot.ini

Go to control panel > system > advanced > Startup and recovery > settings >
Edit
Delete the extra line that points to the second win xp
Save and exit
Restart

Hi,

Start/run msconfig, go to the boot.ini tab, click on "check all boot paths".
It should prompt to remove the invalid one.
