Two versions of Vista upon start up

Good Afternoon: New Vista user here. I was having a BlueScreen error message
shortly after I installed some new programs. I began rolling back the
installed programs and when the error kept occurring, I decided to re-install
Vista from the Operating System Disc. When I did that and re-booted my
computer, I now get two choices to start machine: Windows Vista and Windows
Vista Home Premium (recovery). Now I don't know if the original error has
been fixed (still working to see if it occurs again) but I do want only one
version to always boot, preferably the one in recovery so I can keep my
settings. I had launched the Windows Vista choice, and get a whole new
desktop. I appreciate any help I can get to make sure only 1 OS boots up
always, again, the one in recovery. Also, how does it go out of recovery? I
hope my question makes sense. Thank you!

The "recovery notation" remains - it does not indicate Vista is in recovery
status - Vista has been "recovered"

Usual cause of two OS - you may have reinstalled Vista in a different
"folder" than original location (However not the only cause)..

You can use any of the third party boot managers, such as VistaBoot PRO, to
modify the options.

AJR: Thank you for the response. The program worked and my previous error
was also fixed. I appreciate your help.
