Two SIMPLE questions.................

I'm somewhat new to XP Pro and am mostly a casual user but need to know:

1. How to place "show desktop" icon on Quick Launch Taskbar? I want to
view the actual desktop screen and not the folder.

2. How to permanenty save "decorative" website-specific icons? Several
crashes have occured and reverted the desktop shortcut icons to the IE logo.
(The crashes are being addressed but it's nothing severe at this exact moment)

I would appreciate any help directly to my email as listed in the profile
here.

Thanks all

question 1;

there are easier ways but try this

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

copy above and create a new txt file on your desktop (right click
desktop, choose NEW and TXT document) open the doc and paste.

close doc, change the doc name to "Show Desktop.scf" and put file into
Quick Launch folder C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch (open windows explorer
to this folder and dragndrop file)

For #1, just right click on the taskbar. On the context menui that pops up,
select 'Toolbars' and then 'Quicklaunch'. SHow Desktop should be
automatically included

Which OEM button?
And have you considered adding some punctuation to your reply?
