1. Does any one know how to get rid of the "click here to start" from the
start button. I have tried all the methods of adding NoStartBanner etc. but
they don't work.

2. Does any one know how the set the default position of wallpaper on
desktop to "center" ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Right click on an empty spot on your desktop. Then click the "Desktop" tab.
Find the position menu and choose Center.
