Two 'puters out onto Internet through firewall / ADSL modem

Hi All,

I'd appreciate your input into the following scenario:

Two computers are set up to access the internet through a dedicated hardware
firewall
and adsl modem.

The two computers are networked with two different subnets.

As one of the 'puters is a home PC and the other is a work PC, I'd like the
two to be as
'separate' as if they were two 'puters on the internet....

If I have each 'puter set up on a different subnet, can they 'talk' to each
other ?

What is the best way to isolate them from each other ?
Can I utilise the firewall to isolate them from each other ?

The work 'puter will be set up to VPN to the office.

Many thanks,

David

I am not sure why you want to separate them. But to do so, you need a
router. or you can add one more NIC on one of computers, and make it as a
router.

Hi David,

Thank you for posting here!

I wonder if the two computers are located in the same place. If so, I
believe Robert's suggestion will be a good suggestion. However, if the two
computers are located in different place, you may set up VPN Server in one
network. And then you can let the other computer in another network to act
as a VPN client and dial into the VPN Server.

For the detailed steps on how to setup VPN Server, you may visit the below
