Two problems

Please bear in mind that I'm not computer savvy. I have never opened up
"the box".

1. I can no longer go to My Documents then select and e-mail pictures.
Although I get the usual message asking if I want to send smaller pictures,
there's no response after that. Also, if I try to forward someone's e-mails
containing pictures, the pictures show as empty boxes with x's in the
corner.

2. In a dumb moment sometime back, when I didn't know better, I put a
small paper label on a CD which I inserted into my F (DVD) drive.
You no doubt know what happened - the label came off inside the drive. Can
I access the inside of that drive somehow?

I keep getting the message, "Microsoft has encountered a problem and must
shut down", and it does until I open the drive and remove the CD.

I'd be most grateful if anyone can shed any light on these two problems.

Open the case, disconnect power and data cable to your CD drive,
remove the drive, then take the top off the drive, remove the label,
close everything and reinstall the drive and connect the cables.
Now try again.
