Two problems:

1. When defragging, my system gets to ~13%, then jumps to 98%, then
"finishes". The problem is that it is not completely defragged
(according to its chart). The Status Bar says it is moving a file
called "$UsnJrnl", but there is no file of that name on the system.

2. This one may be more common: some of my System Tray icons do not
show up (some are no big deal, but Volume, HyperSnap and Yahoo Messenger
are). I can logoff/logon and they will come back.

Any help on these?

It is defragged as much as it can be by the XP defrag function.. it is not
important that there are absolutely no spaces in the visual 'graph'..
