Hi - I have two PCs at home, one running Win2000 and the other Win Vista
(Home Premium). Both are configured to the same workgroup name and are
connected to a common router. However, when I open up the network tree
(network places), I can only see the local PC in each system and not both
computers.

Any ideas as to how this may be fixed?

Thanks

Other than ensure that they recognize the same workgroup, have you
instructed the machines to share anything with each other?

Vista will ask for an adm name and PW every time you log in. I have such a
configuration at my office. One of my machines has Win2K on one partition.

You have to set share enabled on Win2K on all folders you want to be
accessed, otherwise Vista won't see them.
