I am having the problem of two operating system choices
when my computer boots up as I previously had WIN XP on
C;/ and now i installed it in F:/ . I tried to find the
boot.ini and suggested by someone in thsi website but I
didnt know where to find it. I would really appreciate it
if someone can help with this too.

Thanks in advance.

The boot.ini is in the root folder (usually c:\, but F:\ for you if xp is
installed on f:).
It is a hidden and protected file. You have to set xp to show hidden files
and protected files in explorers folder options.
Also you can get to it by right clicking my computer, properties, advanced
tab, startup and recovery section-settings button, edit button.

go to control pannel --> system --> Advanced tab -->
startup and recovery --> then settings ... i suggest just
making it desplay for 2 seconds ...

Greetings --

Either use a plain text editor, such as NotePad to modify
C:\Boot.ini as desired, or, from within WinXP, Right-click My Computer
Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery, Settings > Default
operating system.

Best is to go to Control Panel - System - Advanced and in Startup and
error recovery click the Settings. Then click Edit, and the right one
will be loaded into NotePad for you

Do I understand you correctly that the problem you have is that the OS
Choices Menu (boot menu, boot.ini) is not displayed in the startup sequence?
You could not have missed it, if you had it. If this is missing, then you
need to go to the notepad showing the content of the boot.ini, as described
in the other posts before me, and do some editing here. Please post back if
indeed this is what is bothering you. Details will then follow.
