Two network cards, one pc

Marcos Marcou

Dear friends,

I have a problem when trying to have two ethernet cards on the same pc under
windows xp.

The first card connects the pc to the intranet and is configured mannually
with given gatewaysm static ipm dns etc.

The other is connected to my adsl router and all its settings are
dynamically.

The problem is that i can not operate both at the same time. For example if
i am connected to the internet i can not see the intranet and vice versa.

Any suggestions are very welcome.

Marcos.

Leave the gateway on the LAN nic blank and assign a gateway on the WAN
nic, you will run into problems if you have 2 gateways. I'm wondering
why you are using such a clunky setup, why not use a single nic and let
the router handle the network complexities?
