I have had two IMAP accounts set up on my computer for
over a year. My boss has also had two accounts. Now all
of a sudden, I am getting the following message, when I
hit Send/Receive for the first time:
A connection to the server cound not be established.
mail.********.com is now in offline mode.
Details:
There may be server or network problems or your timeout
interval may be too short.
Account: UMC
Protocol: IMAP
Server: mail.********.com
Port: 143
I have blocked out our server name, but all of the other
info is correct. Here is the error that I get when I hit
send and receive every time thereafter:
Could not fetch new headers in the inbox for UMC. An
unknown error has occurred. Please save any existing
work and restart the program.
I have done the following to try to figure out what is
going wrong:
Removed both accounts and added the again. This gave me
some inconsistant results. Sometimes both accounts would
work for a while, sometimes one would work, and sometimes
it would give me the error as soon as I set up the first
account.
I have done the fix and repair outlook, to no avail.
I have also setup 2 IMAP's on another computer, but the
same problem.
I have gone into the IMAP folders option and clicked off
the heirarchy button, just because I could, and that
didn't help either. lol
Please help me if you know what could be the problem.
